Investing in AI
& Energy
TAQA Capital backs founders building at the convergence of artificial intelligence and the energy systems that power it — from the labs of Harvard and MIT to the deployment markets of the Gulf and beyond.
A future where intelligence and energy compound.
We accelerate the transformation of the global energy and compute ecosystem by advancing the convergence of Artificial Intelligence and Energy — enabling intelligent systems that drive efficiency and decarbonization, and resilient infrastructure that powers the next generation of AI.
TAQA invests pre-seed, seed and Series A capital into founders building at the intersection of energy systems, industrial infrastructure and advanced computation.
Three convergent investment themes.
Each theme sits at a step-change moment — where technical depth, capital and policy align to create category-defining companies.
AI for Energy
- Vertical AI for power, utilities and industrial operations
- Grid analytics, forecasting and automation
- AI-enabled storage and distributed energy
Energy for AI
- Data center power, cooling and optimization
- Grid infrastructure for high-density compute loads
- On-site generation, storage and microgrids
AI for Decarbonization
- Methane and emissions intelligence
- Operational efficiency and flaring reduction
- Carbon management and CCUS
Sourcing where the science is. Deploying where demand is accelerating.
Innovation Advantage
Sourcing from one of the world's highest-density innovation ecosystems — Harvard, MIT and the surrounding labs and founder networks.
Growth & Deployment
Regional partnerships open the Gulf and broader MENA markets for portfolio companies across energy, industrial and data-center sectors.
Systems Transformation
Long-horizon capital for technologies that reshape foundational systems — electricity, compute and industrial infrastructure.
Why Harvard & MIT.
Two of the world's most prolific founder ecosystems. Together, they produce the technical depth and research-driven innovation that creates durable competitive advantage.
TAQA is embedded in this network — across labs, accelerators and founder communities — giving us proprietary access to the earliest signal.
